What does “muraasim” on the number plates mean?
I like this format better than the previous week’s. This is because the picture itself doesn’t get ‘broken up’ by the control panel flashing up in the middle of the image, which was very distracting. Also, there is more control over the speed at which the pictures change, so that you can look at a picture for longer without having to press the back button.
These display numbers well in many contexts. I prefer this format of slideshow over the previous Flickr one, as I think it loads quicker and lets you see all the slides in the show in the thumbnail at the bottom. There’s also some good reading/vocab practice here (eg: بنك المغريب )

مراسم، مرسم means ceremony. I am not quite sure about their meaning the context of these car plates.
This slideshow software is definitely better - easier to keep from running away with the photos!
Interesting to read the different bank notes, with things like “central bank” and “people’s bank” etc.
I like this slideshow, it is a good way to follow up on our classwork today. During the UK’s cultural celebrations of ‘Africa ‘05′ I went to a talk about coins & the spread of Islam across the Sahara. So I like the images of coins a whole lot. Next time I’m at the British museum I can take another look & read them this time. Yay!
