About
To fully benefit from these resources, you can compare the brochures in English and Arabic to improve your reading and vocabulary recognition. I would recommend that you study them on paper format.
You can also study it online using the iPaper application below by clicking on (full screen) at the far right.
There are many topics covered in the brochures, namely:
- Immigration & Citizenship
- Rights and Responsabilities
- Health care
- Education and childcare
- Learning about the USA
- Travelling
- etc…

I find this kind of “realia” particularly interesting, and you can compare the arabic and english documents. When we start doing different topics in Intensive Arabic B can we have some more like this?
Perhaps there are tourism brochures/political party broadcasts/economic reports that can be found in arabic and put up here? I think that’d really support our learning effectively.
Thanks
David
This is a pretty big resource, and nice to thumb through. I think most levels of learners can pick something up by looking at this. Im guessing the the use of bika and laka in the introductory welcoming passage are an attempt to personalise the brochure (rather than using kum?).
